Kennedy Street's notorious for accidents (it's got two freeway off-ramps and a couple of busy surface streets feeding into a blind intersection). We get a minor accident there roughly every week; a major one roughly every month; and a really serious one every year at least. In this case a large, deep, nearly-invisible and just-appeared-out-of-nowhere pothole felled a motorcyclist early one evening a week or two ago. He survived, along with his bike, but it seemed unlikely when I looked up the street and saw him sprawled motionless across the road with his bike a few metres further down the road with all the cars screeching to a halt around him… (2008).
