Images of Oakland's Jingletown, San Antonio, Fruitvale, and Downtown Districts, Oakland Estuary, West Oakland, Alameda, and further afield...
U.S. Naval Hospital, Alameda
The old U.S. Naval Hospital next to the Naval Supply Center next to the Estuary in Alameda (and soon to be part of the Alameda Landing project if things go as planned…). This is a truly spooky place — huge, sprawling, empty, totally devoid of visible humans, trash-strewn, graffiti-covered, shutters and panels clattering in the wind, tumbleweeds blowing across dirt tracks and through broken fences (well, not really tumbleweeds, but you get the idea&hellip) (Summer 2008).
